The Splatoon amiibo figures are now available for pre-order at Walmart. The amiibo figures will launch alongside the colorful third-person shooter when it launches for Wii U on May 29. You'll be able to purchase Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl separately for $12.99 each or you can the the triple pack which contains both Inkling Boy and Girl as well as Inkling Squid for $34.99.
Considering how fast pre-orders for amiibo figures sell out in a short space of time, I suggest you head over the Walmart's site and put you name down!

Nintendo Has Reacquired The NES Controller Design Trademark
Nintendo has reacquired the design trademark of the NES controller. It has been quite some time since they last acquired it but as they say, "every thing happens for a reason." Maybe we can expect a similar button layout on the NX?

Monster Hunter Stories Announced For 3DS
Capcom has announced Monster Hunter Stories for the 3DS. An announcement trailer was released by Capcom which shows a young hunter and Feline or Palicoe being chased by a Tigrex, then hopping onto a small Rathalos to get away from the Tigrex which seems to be perusing the young hunter for an egg.
Monster Hunter Stories is slated for a 2016 release in Japan.

Each Splatoon amiibo Will Unlock 20 Challenges
Splatoon's US Tumblr blog has given us some info on what the recently announced Splatoon amiibo figures will unlock in the game. Here is what was revealed on the blog:
Splatoon amiibo challenge report! We’ve just confirmed that completing enough challenges will unlock a special challenge, and if you beat it, the amiibo will reward you with some exclusive in-game gear! Sounds like you can earn different weapons, headgear, and clothing from each Inkling amiibo. Brb gotta go take some deep breaths, this is way too exciting!

Rumor: Project X Zone 2 Coming To 3DS
Italian website, e-duesse, has accidentally leaked that Project X Zone 2 is in the works for the Nintendo 3DS. The news was in an article about Bandai Namco's Level Up press event which took place in Milan on April 7th.
